Is Type to Learn a web program?
Yes! Type to Learn is a fully cloud-based application. It can be accessed wherever you have an internet connection and an updated web browser. It will work on a desktop, laptop or tablet device.
Can students access Type to Learn from home for additional practice?
Yes! Because Type to Learn is cloud-based program, it can be accessed from anywhere with an internet connection. Home use for extra practice is encouraged!
Can my sight/hearing impaired students use Type to Learn?
Yes! Type to Learn has greatly improved accessibility options for sight and hearing impaired users, such as: closed-captioning, text-to-speech, and enhanced font sizes and colors.
Does Type to Learn address ergonomic issues?
Yes! The beginning of each lesson mentions proper sitting and hand position, to reinforce proper ergonomic sitting and typing.
Do I have to be a school or teacher to use Type to Learn?
No! Our Type to Learn Home Version is the exact same typing software the schools use, but with much less settings and administrative features. With the Home Version, parents only manage their list of kids and view the reports.
Will I receive tech support when I purchase Type to Learn from Sunburst?
Yes! When you purchase Type to Learn directly from Sunburst, it includes access to our tech support team. Our support department is available Monday – Friday from 9am to 5pm CST and can be contacted by phone at 1-800-356-3209, email at support@sunburst.com, or you can submit a support ticket online.
Is Type to Learn hard to use?
Type to Learn is very easy to get started and ready to go as soon as you import your students. With the help of our support team, your student can be starting their typing journey within a day.
Type to Learn does have many settings and features to accommodate all learning environments and teaching styles, which may require a small learning curve for teachers and admins. Our knowledge base and video training library are great places to start learning.
What payment methods do you accept?
Our preferred method of payment is an authorized purchase order (PO), which can be emailed or mailed to your Account Manager.
We also accept checks directly, and can take credit card payments via digital invoice or over the phone. All credit card transactions incur an additional 3% fee.
Direct bank account transfer is available upon request.
What if we don't like the program?
We offer a free, 30-day trial to test out Type to Learn before committing to any purchase. We hope that this evaluation period is enough time to allow you to determine if Type to Learn is a good fit for your students or not.
We understand things can happen, so if you paid for a year and the program isn’t working as expected, you can request a refund within 30 days of the start of your subscription. Outside of the the 30 days, refunds are not guaranteed. Details of your request will be discussed with an Account Manager and an appropriate resolution will be agreed upon, which may include a refund or account credit or something else.
